Our Strategic Plan

Every three to five years, CMCP engages in a broad consultation process to develop a strategic plan that guides our activities.

Arts and CraftsThis involves key interviews with our funders, leaders in the early learning sector and community partners; surveys and focus groups with our participants; and consultations with our Board of Directors and staff.

Our strategic planning priorities for 2018–2021 are to:

1. Prioritize serving vulnerable communities.

Without compromising CMCP’s commitments as a universal program open to all families, it is particularly important that vulnerable families are being reached, and that special needs are being addressed. ā€œVulnerableā€ here is defined broadly to include low-income families, non-English speakers, recent immigrants, families with physical or mental health challenges, LGBTQ families, etc.

2. Elevate our fundraising target.Ā

Develop and implement a plan for a more structured and diversified approach to fundraising, led by the Development Committee

3. Build a succession plan.

Develop a plan to address anticipated transition(s) in the executive and board ranks.
